Netty Killed the Veggies

Hi! Everyone! Jemima Jones Beck here with some sad news. Last night, Netty the cat, stomped, chewed, rolled on, and otherwise massacred Mom's little veggie garden. All of the lettuce, beets, and carrots are dead. We are all very sad (except for Dad, who doesn't care).
Mom has replanted the earth box with tomatoes because she read somewhere that cats don't care for the smell of tomatoes.
Good luck little tomatoes. I hope that you fare better than your predecessors! Sheepy and I will lay here (see picture) and watch out for you!
Love,
Jemima Jones Beck

Did she rip out the toothpicks? The horror!!!!

Mom says be careful, since tomato leaves are toxic to puggies! Not sure about cats though.

Oh, no!! We're very sad for your mom.

What about putting a mesh netting over the whole garden? Is that possible?

We hope the tomatoes do okay.

The poor little veggies! Doesn't Netty know that carrots are delicious when they reach edible size? By the way, Jemima, you are adorable as always!

Oh no!!! How determined to have gotten past your Goonies-like traps that you built.

Have you thought about gettin those hanging tomatoes that you can hang from somewhere up high?

Try some cayenne pepper this time. Cats do not like to get that up their noses!

And tomato leaves are only toxic if you eat your weight in them, so don't worry about that.

Poor little tomatoes! (mom laughed when she read that your dad doesn't care... that sounds just like my dad - he is like that in regards of, well, a lot of things)
