Hey! Everyone! Mom is hijacking my blog and making me tell you that her lettuce has sprouted! That's four days from planting to sprouting which is pretty fast, and Mom is really excited. She spent about 15 minutes sitting on the floor next to the Earthbox photographing her little sprouts. The first picture is of some Romain Lettuce sprouts and the second picture is of some Black Seeded Susan Lettuce Sprouts. Can you tell just how thrilled I am and just how much I care from the last picture? Don't worry, I wont let Mom interrupt my regularly scheduled pugness with plant sprouts very often! I was just about to leave a comment on your blog this morning asking "Jemima, Jemima how does your garden grow?" - but now I see that you don't give two licks about the garden!
Anyways, pass the 'word to your motha' - her garden is awesome!
I'm glad the lettuce is sprouting! I bet it's going to be super yummy!

Meilin would love to have that Earthbox...and eat the lettuce!!! Yes, this pug loves lettuce...
Lettuce? Yelch. We don't like lettuce. But mom is really impressed for some reason. She is working on plans for a hanging garden on our south-facing porch!
Wow that was fast! I like plants and I dream of having a herb garden someday (I need a house with a backyard first) but sincerely, every single plant that I have had at home under my responsitility have died. My husband LOVES gardening though. He can take care of my herb garden :D
Well, those are really neat photos, but unless your mom puts a ruler next to the plants, how will we know they are growing big and tall? I would be more excited if it was broccoli or green beans.

Jemima,
Tell your mom that the second lettuce looks like a spider! You also look very pretty looking out the window! I enjoy doing that, too!
Love, Marlene
